About Julie McCabe
I am a multidisciplinary artist who enjoys experimenting & I work with both 2D & 3D including drawing, photography, painting, sculpture & assembly.
After working for many years in the public sector, I finally in 2005, got the opportunity to follow my dream & study Ba (Hons) Fine Art at The Arts University College Bournemouth (part time) & graduated in 2010. It was during this process I learned to let go of preconceived ideas about art & travelled a wondrous creative journey of experimentation & discovery.
The medium I choose to work with is often dictated by the subject & found during the process of experimentation. In my process, I often employ discarded, found, materials that when transformed take on new meaning.
Alongside my personal practice I enjoy working in collaborative projects and facilitating workshops.
